testing, testing…

Hello! Welcome to the Waning Crescent Blog Page. I’m so happy you’re here.
This is a place where I intend to share resources and ideas for clients and members of my community, to empower people to live in peaceful relationship with their bodies, and support them as they move through life’s great transitions.
I am here to connect. I am here to hear the story of your body. I’m here to listen, to hold vulnerability with tenderness, to be still with your humanity. I delight in knowing every person I meet, and particularly love to work with “storied” bodies— humans carrying grief, chronic illness, terminal illness, and trauma. Big feels welcome. You’re safe with me.
So, as we carry on being humans together, I’ll be posting here from time to time with ideas for self-care, educational resources to get you more acquainted with your own body (and nervous system!!!!), and some deeper musings about life’s inevitable ending. I’ll do my best to convey the info without getting too heady (though most of my friends and massage students would agree I can be a real nerd and am very good at ranting about obscure body trivia). I intend to dive into topics like Buddhist philosophy, kinesiology, medical journals, yogic texts, breathwork, meditation/mindfulness, death literacy, sound and music, and nature, and how our shared collective intelligence can help us live more wholly and beautifully well.
May you feel happy, safe, strong and easy.
First up!! Let’s talk about the Vagus Nerve!!!!
